Orphans in Need operate Medical camps in rural areas where the population have no access or very little access to any form of healthcare. The clinics are run by Doctors, nurses and other qualified personnel, and provide a vital service, saving many lives, and bringing comfort to the sick.

The camps are designed such that the Doctors can carry out minor operations such as for Cataracts or infections requiring surgery. Immunisation from common diseases is also carried out at the camps, thus preventing the unnecessary deaths of thousands of children and sick, old or pregnant adults.

Events are organised at the clinics and the local populace is taught about better hygiene practices and the causes of many common diseases. Where a patient requires more specialised treatment or in cases of acute illness, Orphans in Need will release funds which will go towards their treatment, and if necessary transport and other associated costs.
