Homes with a caring outlook

One of the most important necessities of orphans' lives is a safe and secure roof over their heads. To this end, Orphans in Need is constantly fundraising to set up a network of orphanages, particularly in new areas, or to increase capacity at existing ones. We have supplied financial aid, equipment, staff training, educational materials, medicines, clothing and toys to orphanages around the world. But we don't want to stop there. We want to create a close, family orientated environment by providing much more personal care than is given at most orphanages.

As well as teaching basic skills such as cooking, arts, crafts, raising crops and keeping livestock, we want to be innovative and resourceful by encouraging further education. We make sure that our orphanages are established at places with easy access to colleges and universities. If we can help to train them to become doctors, lawyers, teachers or civil servants, we can make sure that these once-forgotten children take their rightful places as valuable members of the community.
