Orphans In Need™ - Lets make a difference ...

Muslims throughout the world recognise the stress placed by our beloved Prophet (pbuh) on the rights of the Orphan. The numerous quranic verses and the hadith on helping the needy, and especially the widows and orphans, has been the inspiration behind all that we do at Orphans in Need. The beloved prophet of Allah (SWT), gave glad tidings to those who excel in their kindness towards the orphans.

The generosity of our donors allows Orphans in Need to currently look after hundreds of orphans in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Gaza (Palestine) and Rwanda. However, many more children are eligible for help, and still remain to be sponsored. Orphans in Need alone has over 2,000 children on a waiting list to be sponsored.

Some of these children will have no mother or father and are in an orphanage or orphans village. Others may still live with their mothers, but the father, being the main breadwinner may have died and the mother cannot afford to feed and educate the child.

Furthermore, you can rest assured that your donation will be used in it’s entirety on the orphans and their needs. We have a policy of not deducting anything from the original donation to go towards Admin or Operational costs. These costs are met through specific Admin donations and through the claiming of Gift Aid; thus ensuring that 100% of your donations are spent on the orphaned children.

Many of the youngsters in our care will not have received any formal education. In order to tackle this hurdle, all children will receive extra tutelage and support and our aim is to ensure the children have as much opportunity to attain an education and gain qualifications, as other more fortunate children. Academically they will all be pushed to their full potential, and after receiving school education will be encouraged to enrol at a college or university for further education. Our aim is to encourage, and then help finance the orphans to attain professional qualifications, and hopefully go on to become Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Civil servants or some similar vocation.
